Deniro is a pure peer-to-peer marketplace: your payment goes DIRECTLY to the seller's own M-Pesa (or their Till/Paybill). Deniro never holds buyer money — so our protection is built on prevention, fast recourse and enforcement, and we are honest about what that means. BEFORE YOU PAY — PREVENTION 1. Every shop carries a trust badge computed from real history: TRUSTED (10+ confirmed orders, 4★+ verified rating, no open disputes, no strikes), ACTIVE (3+ confirmed orders), NEW (under 3 — the pay step tells you to keep it small or meet the seller first), SUSPENDED (under review — checkout is blocked). 2. On the payment screen: agree delivery on a call first, and pay ONLY the number shown on the shop screen — never a number someone sends you in DMs. 3. Ratings and reviews come only from buyers holding a real tracking code for a CONFIRMED order. Fakes cannot buy reputation here. WHEN YOU PAY — VERIFICATION One M-Pesa confirmation code works for exactly ONE order, across ALL of Deniro. Replayed or invented codes are rejected automatically. Every order keeps its own record: product snapshot, price, timestamps. Evidence exists by construction. IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG — FAST RECOURSE 1. Speed is the single biggest recovery factor: M-Pesa reversal works BEST within 24 hours, and only while the money is still in the receiver's M-Pesa wallet. Forward the payment SMS to 456 (free), or call 100 / 234, or use the MySafaricom app. 2. Open a dispute on your tracking screen ("Report a problem") with your LL- tracking code. Every dispute goes to the platform owner's disputes desk with the full evidence record. 3. For serious fraud, the DCI Cyber Crime Unit investigates online fraud — your Deniro order record (order code, payment code, seller number) is exactly the written record that makes a case actionable. ENFORCEMENT A dispute that is UPHELD gives the seller a strike and may suspend them. Three strikes = automatic 1-year suspension: checkout blocked, removed from The Market, public suspension banner on the shop. Suspended shops stay visible WITH the banner so defrauded buyers can always find their order and report it. HONEST LIMITS Deniro cannot auto-refund peer-to-peer payments — anyone promising that is lying. What we give you instead is the fastest possible path through Safaricom reversal, a permanent evidence trail, and a seller-enforcement system with teeth.
